Facebook Timeline Affects Zynga Game Requests

It seems that a lot of players are complaining on Facebook's newest feature - Facebook Timeline.  According to players, with Timeline, they can no longer find gift posts from gaming friends on their wall. These posts are normally on standard Facebook wall, and all gaming requests would be easy to find.

There are complaints that when someone go to the activity log and click on a friends' post, the link takes you directly to the game. You cannot collect from a gaming post.   This is really frustrating especially with today's bunch of holiday quests where you need to collect different kinds of items to help you out with the mission.

 Any suggestions, or is there a way to deactivate Facebook Timeline?

Zynga Players Are Taking Over Times Square

Have fun with Zynga's I Heart Play Event.  Zynga has taken over Times Square to celebrate with Zynga players.  Through January 2nd, Zynga fans are featured on Times Square billboards.  Even if you cannot make it it NYC, you can see the action with the event Webcams and Gallery.  You can also star in your own virtual billboard and share your love of PLAY!

Acquiring a Storage Cellar

You may acquire the Storage Cellar by clicking on Market button and finding it under the Buildings tab.

Note: Players will need to reach level 6 to unlock the Storage Cellar. Players can only own 1 Storage Cellar.

Storing Items

1. Click on the green design arrow button at the bottom right of the screen to enter Design Mode.
   
   
   
2. Next, click on the Storage Cellar icon.
   
   
   
3. Now find an item you'd like to store and click on it.
   
   
   

Placing items from Storage onto your Kingdom

1. Click on the Inventory button and then the Storage Cellar icon.
2. Click on the use button to place the item you want.
   
   
   

The Storage Cellar's Upgrade Stages

The Storage Cellar can be upgraded to hold more and more items. Each new stage holds an increased amount of items and comes with a new look. (To upgrade your Storage Cellar, click on it in the game and acquire the necessary materials.)

Stage 1 = Holds 50 items
Stage 2 = Holds 100 items
Stage 3 = Holds 200 items
Stage 4 = Holds 300 items
Stage 5 = Holds 500 items

FAQ

Q: Why is the Storage Cellar locked? How can I get it?
A: The Storage Cellar is unlocked once players reach level 6.

Q: I stored some items but can't find them. Where are they?
A: You can find your stored items in the Inventory under the Storage tab.

Q: Am I able to sell the Storage Cellar?
A: No.

Q: Will I need to rebuild buildings that are placed in the Storage Cellar?
A: No. Buildings placed will not need to be rebuilt, however, any buildings with customized colors will resort to their default colors when placed back into your Kingdom.

Q: Why can't I place the Bottomless Pit or other Royal Decorations?
A: Each level that you gain increases how many Royal Decorations you can have in your Kingdom at time. The Bottomless Pit, for example, gives you +5 Castle points, so you will need to store enough of your current Royal Decorations to meet this amount in order to place it.

* The timers on items, such as ponds, houses etc, will not continue to countdown while placed in the Storage Cellar. The timer will be reset once it is placed back into your Kingdom. So houses with a 4-hour timer, for example, that have 2 hours left and are stored will be reset to 4 hours when placed.

* Storing Crafting buildings which are currently crafting an item will be reset when placed back into your Kingdom and the materials and item lost.

Hey Farmers! Have you been Naughty or Nice? Fill your stocking for prizes, and then ask your Friends if you’ve been Naughty or Nice to receive bonus prizes. What votes will you give your Friends?

You can locate The Holiday Hearth, check for it in your Giftbox or purchase in the Market for one Coin.

Placing The Holiday Hearth:

A Green illumination around the Holiday Hearth will glow over open placement areas on your farm.

Please note that you can have 1 Holiday Hearth on each of your farm.

Once placed on your Farm, you will have the following six options:

Congratulations! You’ve filled your Stocking, now ask your Friends for Naughty or Nice Bonus Prize votes.

Cafe World Winterfest Extended for 3 Days!

Zynga made an announcement on December 24 regarding the extension of Cafe World Winterfest.  Remember that many players have been complaining for bunch of bugs on Cafe World game play.  You can check it here.  Anyway, here's the official statement from Zynga forum:

We're pleased to announce that the Winterfest timer has been extended 3 days to 12/27/2011 - 12PM PDT. You'll now have 3 additional days to get the grand prize for completing all the Winterfest quests!

NOTE: Although there is an extension to the timer, some things will change or not be valid after 12/24/2011 at 12PM PDT:

Hello, Cafe World Team!

How can we complete Cafe World Winterfest Goal when progress is regressing or worst, loss of progress?  Here are the specific bugs we experienced in the game:

• Everything we cook for the cook a thon, or the winterfest, or any other quests does not count!
• We used Spices to unspoil the dishes, but when we come back on the game, it's spoil again but the Spices used are deducted! Such a waste of time and Cafe Cash!
• All the dishes cooked nth time have the same rollback!
• Our group cooked for the Catering Order, half of us have completed the job whereas the others have lost their dishes and are now only half completed!

How can we finish on time, when you keep on giving us bunch of goals but not of them progresses?  Hello CW Team?!

Want to earn more energy, permits and coins in CityVille?  Then help the elves repair Santa's Sleigh!  You will find the Sleigh expansion with the other Holiday Town expansions in your city.

Click on the Sleigh to see what is required to repair it. Send requests to your friends to start collecting the following building materials:

• 10 Reindeeer Bells

Once you gathered all these parts you will be prompted that you can start using it right after you unlock that expansion.  You can now get a bonus from the Sleigh.  Collect bonus once every 24 hours and has a chance to drop coins, goods, energy, and permits.

You can also move the Sleigh and any of the decorations that came with it to any other location in your city.

Empires and Allies Treasure Vault

 

Zynga is beginning the rollout of a new feature in Empires and Allies for you to play with today...the Treasure Vault!  The Treasure Vault is a new building you can construct on your island. You can open the vault once per day, using keys that you collect from your neighbors. Depending on the number of keys you have, you can open different vaults—all the way up to the Platinum Vault, which has the potential for some awesome rewards!

If you don't have any keys for 24 hours, you get one for free Empires and Allies keys —so you'll always be able to open the Vault at least once per day.  This new feature in Empires and Allies is slowly rolling out to players.

Empires and Allies: Ammo!

The Empires and Allies team announced that they will be rolling out a brand new change to the mechanics of Empires and Allies: Ammo!  Here's the statement on official zynga forums:

What we've done is we've subdivided Energy into two categories: Energy, which is used exclusively for building, tending, and harvesting your island, and Ammo, which is used for fights!


Energy and Ammo both work basically the same way—they recharge naturally over time, and you can collect recharge packs through gifts from your friends.


We've also tweaked the rate at which Ammo and Energy regenerate—Energy now regenerates at a rate of 1 Energy every 10 minutes, while Ammo regenerates once every 5 minutes. Both timers run at the same time, so the total combined regeneration rate is 50% faster than before!

Pioneer Trail Level Cap Increased to 200

That time is finally here, the level cap has increased to 200 in Pioneer Trail!

If you already have enough experience to level up past 150, you will see some horseshoe drops appear on your homestead when you first open up the game after this is released. For example, if you should be level 160, you will see 10 horseshoe drops appear; these represent the 10 horseshoes you earned for the 10 level ups.  There is also an extra rewards for every 5 levels gained.  According to Zynga, every 10 levels gained will unlock BIG rewards that you can purchase in the Market for coins.

Below is a list of all the awesome rewards you will be granted at each 5 & 10 level ups interval:

•     Level 155 - 4 Hour Double Mastery, 3 Cookies
•     Level 160 - Kumquat Tree Unlock, 3 Cookies
•     Level 165 -12 hour Double Mastery, 3 Cookies
•     Level 170 - California Poppy Unlock, 3 Cookies
•     Level 175 - 2 Animal Ready & 2 Animal Harvest Boosts, 2 Molten Cakes

Pioneer Trail Ragdolls Galore

Pioneer Trail introduced another timed goal in celebration of the holidays.  Percival the toymaker's in a bit of a pinch! He's just got a big order for Ragdolls in and he ain't got enough materials on hand.  Ragdolls Galore is now available to players that are atleast Level 15.  The goal must be accepted before January 21, and you'll have five days to finish the three tasks once you started it.

Empires & Allies Crewable Expansions Tweak

The Empires and Allies team made an announcement on the rollout of the Crewable Expansions.  Here is part the explanation from official Zynga forum:


A number of users pointed out during the rollout of Crewable Expansions that with this change, it removed a lot of the fun from the end-game by removing the coin goal for you to save for.


In light of this, we've made a tweak to Crewable Expansions—there is now a cap on the number of Expansions you can have, and still be able to take advantage of the Crewable Expansions feature. If you've already purchased expansions past the cap, the Crewable Expansions feature will be closed and you'll have to get your Expansions the old-fashioned way. 


Zynga also noted that there is currently a bug with the Crewable Expansions feature in Empires and Allies, where some people who had a fully staffed expansion ready before this change started to roll out are being blocked from expanding. Zynga is already working on a fix for this, and should have it in place this week.
