Mafia Wars is an online game created by Zynga that is played on social networking sites like Facebook and Myspace although some of the gameplay features are not yet updated on Myspace.

Speaking of Achievement, the game honors your efforts and gives you Achievement which is summarized at your Profile Page.  Your mafia family is also rewarded every time you achieve one through posting your achievement on your wall page for them to click on.

Completing the tasks above does not guarantee you to dominate in Mafia Wars.  The ability to fight other Mafia goes along with how many members your Mafia has, or what is called Mafia Family.   Here comes the recruitment stage, where you send requests to your friends on Facebook or Myspace to join you on your family.  You can also buy Hired Guns to Godfather using your Rewards Points.  Another way is to join various Mafia organizations on Facebook like MAFIA WARS – GROW YOUR MAFIA OVERNIGHT  or MAFIA WARS UNLI, here you can find people who have the same objective as yours, Growing your Mafia Family, but beware, though you have same objective they are still strangers to you and you need to add them as friend first before you can send invitation to join you Mafia.

Like any other online games, playing Mafia Wars is absolutely free but you are encouraged to spend money to buy reward points, which can be spent at Marketplace to purchase limited edition weapons, crates, cash, hired guns and other consumables used in jobs.
