ONE DAY AFTER QUIT FACEBOOK DAY

Quit Facebook Day was observed yesterday, May 31, 2010 when a number of users around the globe planned to delete their account because of Facebook privacy issues.  One day after the said protest, at the time of this writing, only 33,690 people committed to delete their account.  Facebook is the largest social network having 500 million users.

This protest is not a good image for the social network, however it seems that the one who launched the protest did not succeed that far, although they have good intentions as to reminding people regarding privacy setting problems on their Facebook account.  0.006% turn out is not as bad as it is, but Facebook should still have to work on this critisms over how the social network handles the User Privacy Setting.

You can check the website launched at quitfacebookday.com.

How about you, are you leaving your facebook account?
