FrontierVille New Injured Critter: Spring Bear Cub

The Spring Bear Cub can be found by doing tasks like clearing debris. The Spring Bear Cub isn't really an injured animal, it is a shy bear that won't come out of her burrow.  The process however, is the same as that of the injured critters.

This  time you'll need to gather Juicy Berries from friends to lure the Bear Cub out of her hole. You can do this by clicking on the "Ask for 'Em" button and then posting a general news item to your wall asking your friends for help.

FrontierVille Mission: Spring has Sprung

Three new quests are available to complete in FrontierVille, which are triggered by finding either a Black Turtle Egg or a Robin Egg on your land.  You can do this by chopping down trees on your homestead.

Part I:  Search High

Rustle up a Critter Rescue Crew
Chop Trees 20 Times
Harvest 20 Fruit Trees

Finishing this first mission gives off quite a bit of experience points at 800 XP and 800 coins.

Part II:

Plant 20 Peas
Clear 10 Grass
Tend 2 Injured Animals

Completing this lets you earn better rewards than the first - 1200 XP and 1200 coins.

Part III:

Tend Robin Egg
Collect 10 Potty Papers
Harvest 20 Cotton

Finishing this rewards you with a Spring Butterfly decoration.

FrontierVille: Chop Trees and Earn Robin!

Two more kinds of animals will be appearing on your homestead.  Just like the injured critter in FrontierVille that spawns injured White Buffalo or Black Deer from clearing debris, this time these animals are the Robin and the Black Turtle.

Once you find a Robin Egg or a Black Turtle Egg, you'll see a pop-up asking whether or not you'd like to help the animal hatch. You'll have to find "Fuzzy Blankets" that can be used to keep the eggs warm and help them to hatch.

Clicking the "Help Animal" unlocks another series of missions entitled "Spring has Sprung".

Cafe World: Early Access Goals

Just yesterday, we brought you a sneak peek as to what the new and revamped cookbook would look like in Cafe World, via a preview video released by Zynga. This new cookbook will allow you to sort the dishes that you'd like to see based on type of cuisine, name or level requirement, and will apparently be an all-around streamlined process. This new cookbook will be available to users come April 11, if everything goes according to Zynga's announced plan, but why wait until then to get your hands on this new and improved cookbook?

If you'd like early access to the new cookbook in Cafe World, you'll have to complete an eight-part set of goals called just that - Early Access. These goals are automatically available to you, and will likely show up as one of the four goal logos along the right side of your screen (unlike being buried).

These goals will allow you to not only unlock the improved cookbook, but will also give you access to three limited-time dishes. Meet us behind the break for a full look at these eight goals, and what you'll need to do to finish them yourself.

Early Access I starts off quite simply, asking you to cook two dishes just nine times.

Serve Dino Drumstick 3 Times
Serve Bacon and Eggs 6 Times
Earn 30,000 Coins

Dino Drumstick can be cooked for 800 coins and is ready to serve after 13 hours, while Bacon and Eggs takes nine hours to cook, but costs more at 1,000 coins each. Remember, if you have any of these servings saved in your Gift Box, now is the time to bring them out and skip the cooking altogether. Finishing this first goal rewards you with 3,000 coins and 300 Cafe Points.

Early Access II asks you to serve more dishes, but also rewards you with a free dish when you're done.

Serve Spaghetti and Meatballs 5 Times
Get 6 Onions
Get 7 Cartons of Eggs

Spaghetti and Meatballs costs 450 coins to cook, and is ready after eight hours. Meanwhile, you'll need to ask your friends to send your ingredients for your new recipe by sending out individual gift requests. Your reward for this mission is the Pancit and Lumpia recipe, which costs 1500 coins to cook, is ready after 14 hours, and offers 810 servings. These servings are sold for 8 coins per serving, giving you 6480 coins in return.

Early Access III asks you to put that new recipe to use by cooking it a few times.

Serve Pancit and Lumpia 3 Times
Serve Pumpkin Pie 6 Times
Spice 5 Neighbors' Stoves

Pumpkin Pie can be served after 12 hours, and can be cooked for 200 coins each.

Early Access IV offers you a chance at your second of three new dishes, but you'll need to earn it by collecting even more ingredients this time around.

Cook Loco Moco 8 Times
Get 8 Cartons of Eggs
Get 10 Olive Oil

Loco Moco can be cooked for 800 coins and is ready after 20 hours. Finishing this mission gives you the Bountiful Breakfast recipe, which takes just two hours to prepare, but costs 2,200 coins to cook.

As you might expect, Early Access V asks you to cook your new Bountiful Breakfast Dish, so I hope you have a lot of coins on-hand to do so.

Serve Bountiful Breakfast 8 Times
Get 8 Sacks of Potatoes
Earn 20,000 Coins

When you cook Bountiful Breakfasts, you'll receive 310 servings that can be cooked for 10 coins per serving, resulting in a return of 3100 coins.

Early Access VI is another quest that asks you collect ingredients, so get ready to ask your friends for more help.

Cook Belgian Waffles 12 Times
Get 8 Heads of Lettuce
Get 10 Cucumbers

Belgian Waffles are available to cook for 200 coins, and are ready in just two hours. You won't get a new recipe for completing this quest, but these ingredients do technically belong inside it (giving you a hint of what to expect).

Early Access VII also doesn't reward a new recipe, but it does see you collecting more ingredients for the dish you'll earn at the end of this entire quest set.

Serve Caramel Apples 5 Times
Get 3 Baby Carrots
Get 3 Olive Oil

Caramel Apples cost just 90 coins to cook, but you'll need to wait two hours to serve them.

Finally, Early Access VIII brings you to the point that you've been waiting for - the unlocking of your third new dish, and the ability to access the game's new and improved cookbook.

Serve Eggs Benedict 12 Times
Get 14 Mushrooms
Get 12 Tomatoes

As you can see, you'll have to collect quite a few ingredients to finally finish off this quest set, but while you're waiting for them to arrive, you can work on serving your Eggs Benedict which take 6 hours to prepare. Completing this final quest will reward you with the Chef Salad recipe, which cooks in just 30 minutes.

If you're a dedicated, or even just a fairly high level chef, you will likely be able to finish these eight goals before the April 11 debut of the cookbook. Whether or not these goals will disappear after that time remains to be seen, so if you're the cautious type, it might be smart to skip everything and start on these missions right away.

FarmVille Emglish Countryside Cheats: A Characters Guide

FarmVille English Countryside Characters

One of the most touted features of English Countryside, the first ever expansion to FarmVille, is its focus on characters and storyline. Sure, it's a feature that's seen liberal use in both FrontierVille and CityVille, but does that fact make it any less exciting? Not really. To finally have one of the biggest improvements in Zynga's game design come full circle is certainly something to be psyched about, especially with the implications for the future. But since the expansion is only one day old, let's focus on the now and take a detailed look at the game's current cast of characters.

Duke

Duke, The Airship Pilot

This is the bloke who started it all. It's Duke who swoops--more like crashes--in to tell you that he and his friends in the English Countryside need your farming expertise to bring their farmland back to its former glory. So, it's your job to fix his airship and follow him back to England and get started on your second farm. It wouldn't be wrong to consider Duke the proverbial Frontier Jack of this game, guiding you along in Goals and introducing you to new characters. Now, does Duke have any single nieces?
Angus
Angus, The Sheep Breeder

This little fellow knows more than you think about running a farm, especially when it comes to livestock. Angus is the local sheep breeder, and is ready to pass his limitless knowledge of the woolly creatures to you. This bugger is the guy who will narrate and guide all of your Sheep Breeding quests until you get the hang of it. He even gives you a few of his own prized ram and ewe to start. But this all gets us thinking, where are his parents?
Agnes
Agnes, The Arborist

This lady sure knows how to grow an apple tree or two. Agnes will reintroduce you to the world of Orchards and will guide you along in building your very own. She also has a stash of supplies, and if you complete the Goals she provides, she'll throw you a couple shovels and watering cans. Aw, isn't she just special?
Olivia
Olivia, The Pub Keeper

This tanned maiden runs the local pub, but is on the brink of leaving it all behind, according to Duke. She has a serious rat problem in her fine establishment that's literally driving the customers away. So, she's asked for your help to keep the rodentia at bay while you provide her with more ingredients to brew her famous beers and wines. Olivia will guide you through the process of using Bushels to create new recipes in this brand new Crafting Building.
Lily
Lily, The Dairy Farmer

While she's yet to make an appearance in the English Countryside for most players, Lily is a cheese master. We first heard word of her from a postcard she sent to us on our old farms, declaring her excitement to finally meet you. We imagine that Lily will introduce us to the Dairy Farm, a new building that will double as a stable for Cows and a Crafting Building in which we'll make--what else?--cheese!
Professor Milton
Professor Milton, The Archaeologist

Don't ask us what a fossil nut is doing on a farm, but Professor Milton is your go-to guy for all things old and underground. We doubt many players have seen him in the game as of yet, but he's around here somewhere. All we can guess is that old Prof will introduce us to a brand new, unique feature.

MinoMonsters Brings Pokemon-Style Battling to Facebook

MinoMonsters
The game is quite like Pokemon, with players collecting a wide variety of monsters scattered around different types of terrain. The play is pretty basic, and a number of the mechanics are either not functional or not fleshed out (which likely contributes to the low daily active user count). That said, what does exist is of surprising quality, and suggests that the game has great potential to grow.

Players start out with a single monster, with the choice to select a sort of bear, a bird, or a lizard-frog-thing, each with its own abilities. Once in the game, players are immediately greeted with the objective of battling other wild monsters, leveling up their own, and capturing others; a quality interactive tutorial guides first-timers through the back story and provides tips for fighting.

AbilitiesIn order to battle, players move about the world map and have the option to visit sections classified by their difficulty (e.g. very easy, easy, medium, etc.). Once there, they engage a random monster and take turns battling in a traditional Pokemon style, with different attacks consuming different amounts of Energy. As the opponent weakens, they can utilize an item called a “Minocard” and attempt to capture it for their own collection. This works identically to “Pokeballs” in Pokemon, meaning that if the monster is not low enough on health, it will not be caught, thus players must weaken enemies to a low enough health so that they can be captured, without actually killing them.

Moreover, regardless as to whether or not the new monster is caught, the Minocard is consumed.

With each battle, users will be allowed to utilize whatever monsters they currently have at their disposal, and whichever ones are used will gain experience towards a new level. In fact, the ability to use multiple monsters is a good thing, as losing one can be very easy if the player is not careful and attempts to battle a creature that is too strong. Moreover, should one of their monsters fall, they will actually lose experience.

Regardless, as players win, and gain new levels, not only will the monsters gain more damage and health, but will unlock new abilities as well. Each one of these will take a period of time to learn, with the option to expedite the process using Facebook Credits.

As a matter of fact, one of the distinctly incomplete portions of the game shows up here. With each bout, players earn in-game currency — Gold — but there is no way to spend it yet. It is noted as “coming soon,” but as it stands all items must be purchased using Facebook Credits. This includes health potions, energy potions, and the noted Minocards. Currently, this is probably the biggest deterrent for returning users, as there isn’t quite enough to hook new users into paying with Credits yet, thus the game play is very limited for them. As it stands, the only way to acquire more of these items, is to complete various quests (e.g. defeat X amount of monsters) or get lucky enough to get them after a battle in lieu of gold.

TrainingA lot of the game is still in development, but even so, it does come with a surprisingly high level of art quality. As a matter of fact, the static visuals actually look better than many larger, more established developers’ titles, so it will be interesting to see how the title evolves over time.
On the negative side of things (and not referring to mechanics still in development), the biggest issue of notice is the premise and objective of the game. As it stands, players just move from point to point, beating opponents and capturing them where they can. The stated objective at the start of the game is to collect more monsters, but, unfortunately, there isn’t a context in doing so; meaning there is no way to know how many there even are to collect. Additionally, collection is only done individually.

Though this will likely change in the future, friends that are invited to play don’t appear to be tradable with; a shame in a collection-type of game, as trading is something that can make such titles much more fun. Currently, the only social elements consist of leaderboards and the occasional wall posting.

All in all, MinoMonsters is quite impressive, with a visual quality better than more established companies; Buckley and Diaz are 17 and 18 years old, respectively, but clearly know what they’re doing. That said, the game still has some work to do, and this refers to more than what is just left unfinished. The app needs to find a way to differentiate itself from Pokemon and really needs to give the user a more clear goal. If that goal is to collect all the monsters, then a context of what that means is needed. Either way, the game is a decent first title, so it will be curious to see how it grows and changes from here.

FarmVille English Countryside Duke's Airship Goals

Finally! It’s about time! The English Countryside officially debuted today. Unfortunately some farmers will have to wait a little longer as this new feature is being slowly rolled out and for a good reason. Why doesn’t everyone have access at once? With any new (and big) feature like this one, only a select group of users initially have access due to testing issues and to make sure that major problems are prevented. What we can tell you is that the wait may be worth it as you will soon be able to venture off to your second farm in the English Countryside where exciting new game play, such as Sheep Breeding, brewing pints in a new Crafting Pub, exclusive crops, and a second farm (need we say more?) awaits.

You can read this FarmVille Freak guide to help you travel to your new farm or also to get a sneak peek of what you can expect when you do have access. The English Countryside is available to any FarmVille player that is Level 20 and above.

When you have access to the English Countryside you will first, see the pop-up below:

Clicking the green “Check it Out” button will trigger an animation of the Duke’s Airship crashing on your farm. Here’s a screenshot of Duke’s crash.

We learn from Duke that he’s been looking for us and that he has also brought us a very special gift, a deed to our English Countryside farms- in England! However, before we can visit our new farms, we first need to repair Duke’s Airship which when repaired will transport us to our English farms.

Repairing The Duke’s Airship

To start making repairs on Duke’s Airship, you will need to first place the Airship at a safe place on your farm, which really means any space that you have cleared and that can fit his airship. Simply click on Duke’s Airship which immediately takes you to placement mode.

If you’d rather wait to place Duke’s damaged Airship, it will go to your FarmVille Gift Box for you to user at a later time. It’s important to note that placing the Airship will trigger quests. If you’d rather wait for later, you can leave the Airship in your Gift Box until you are ready and able to start your journey to England.

Completing Quests to Prepare for your Trip to England

Placing Duke’s Airship will launch your first English Countryside Quest. If for some reason you miss the pop-up notification, you can also access your quest by clicking on the quest icon (as pictured below) located on the top left side of your in-game screen. The icon will display which quest you are currently on as well as what part of the quest.

The icon shows which quest you’re on as well as what part of the quest (part 1, part 2, etc.). As always, you can bypass quests and skip ahead by completing them immediately with Farm Cash. Whether you c0mplete the quest by actually completing the tasks or by paying your way with Farm Cash you will receive the quests XP and rewards. As even more incentive to participate in quests, for the first time ever, we are also being rewarded with Farm Cash! Yes, that’s right the first Quest, Drop Anchor! includes 5 Farm Cash as one of its rewards.

In order to repair Duke’s Airship, you will need to complete quests. Each quest’s completion will aid in the repair of the Duke’s Airship or in preparation for your journey to England.  With each completed quest you  will get you one step closer to traveling to your English Countryside farms. Here is an outline of each quest required to travel to your English Countryside farms:

Quest 1: Drop Anchor!

Since The Duke needs something heavy to hold down his airship, the first quest will be focused on anchoring it down.
Objectives
  • 1. Buy 3 Crates. (Each Crate costs 150 Farm Coins)
  • 2. Place Crates on  your farm.

Note, Crates, like Hay Bales, are set to auto-purchase. Whenever you buy one and place it on your farm you can automatically buy more by continuing to place additional Crates. This prevents you from having to continuously return to the FarmVille Market to buy the same item.
Rewards
  • 100 XP
  • 5 Farm Cash
  • 2,500 Farm Coins

Completing the quest, will give you the option to share the wealth with  your FarmVille neighbors by posting a Facebook News Feed share when you click the blue “Share Coins” button.

Quest 2: Cotton To It

To further your repairs on The Duke’s Airship, you will need to grow Cotton on your farm to help fix the airship and complete the “Cotton To It” quest.

Objectives
  • 1. Plant 50 plots of Cotton on your farm.
You will need to plant Cotton on your farm manually by clicking with your mouse or by using a Vehicle. It doesn’t matter how you do it as long as it gets done. There is no need to worry about harvesting the cotton at this point. To skip this quest and jump ahead you can pay 15 Farm Cash.
Rewards:
  • 100 XP
  • 2,500 Farm Coins
  • 1 Flag
Quest 3: Nice Supplies

To prepare for your journey to the English Countryside you will need some supplies to take with you. Thankfully it’s just one- a single Cow.
Objectives
  • 1. Purchase one Cow from the FarmVille Market for 300 Farm Coins.
  • 2. Place Cow on your farm.

Rewards
  • 250 XP
  • 2,500 Farm Coins
  • Aviator’s Cap
The Aviator’s Cap is a cap that your farmer avatar can wear. You can access your new hat by clicking on your farmer and then clicking the “Accessories” tab in the avatar clothing menu.

Quest 4: Bon Voyage Party

Now, that you are ready for England, you will need to have a proper send off party, a Bon Voyage Party! This “Bon Voyage Party” quest works similar to the 2011 FarmVille New Year’s Eve Party in that you will host a party on your farm and invite all of your FarmVille neighbors! The more neighbors, the more merrier and also the faster you will be able to leave for England.

Clicking on the quest icon will take you to the Bon Voyage Party Menu. Click on the green “Invite Friends” button to start inviting your neighbors. Whenever a neighbor accepts your invitation, their avatars will show up at your party and your party’s Guest meter will increase accordingly. So just how many neighbors will you need to attend your party? Here’s the breakdown:
Bon Voyage Party Guests
  • 0-3 neighbors: unable to travel to England
  • 4-14 neighbors: Depart for England in 4 days
  • 15-34 neighbors: Depart for England in 2 days
  • 35 neighbors: Depart immediately!
Whenever more than three neighbors attend your party, you will see a Countdown meter appear underneath the Bon Voyage Party banner at the top of the menu.
If you would like to bypass accumulating party guests, you may do so by using 60 Farm Cash to jump ahead and travel to England immediately.
Whenever you have completed your party’s countdown by fulfilling one of the requirements above you will see the notice pictured below.  Simply click the green “Go to the English Countryside” button to begin your travel to your new farm! If your unsure about traveling or have some anxiety about flying on The Duke’s repaired Airship, then the resulting confirmation pop-up will give you a chance to think it over.

You can travel to England at any time by clicking on the Airship icon (pictured below) located at the upper right hand corner of your in-game screen.  The “My Home Farm” icon shows you that you are currently on your home farm, duh!

Get ready, clicking the Airship icon takes you to England! At any point you can return to your home farm by using the Home Farm icon. Remember, FarmVille Freaks that while you are visiting one farm your other farm is in a pause mode meaning that your crops and animals will not be maturing. All timers are stopped on the “paused farm”.  The good news is that this means that your crops will not wither and your puppies will not be hungry. The downside is that nothing will grow or mature. Likewise, your FarmVille neighbors can only visit you on the farm that you are currently active on, which means that if you are on your English farm your neighbors can only visit you in England. How could you be two places at once anyways?

That sums it all up now you should be ready and prepared for your English trip and your new English Countryside farms.

FrontierVille Detective Agency: How It Works

Howdy folks! There’s something missin’ on the frontier, and it isn’t chickens, but people! FrontierVille and Zynga welcomes super sleuth Finkerton to the frontier! Finkerton has arrived to help you track down folks that have gone missing from FrontierVille to earn rewards! Initially, you will see the screen below prompting you to ‘Buy Detective Agency’. Choosing to click on the Buy option will allow you to place your Detective Agency. Please read below for how the Detective Agency will work.

Building Information

- Prerequisite: Get Ready to Bake! (part 2)

Market
- 21 XP when placed
- 20 Whacks – 7 Wood/Whack
- Daily Bonus – Building collectible, XP, Coins

Building Materials

- Desk, Curtain, Large Hinge (All News Feed Items)
- Coat Rack, Frosted Glass, Floorboards (Request Items)
Only 1 News Feed Item can be requested every 6 hours

How will it work?

Ready to become a famous detective? The first thing you should know is, the primary objective behind the Detective Agency is to get players to return to FrontierVille. Once Finkerton’s Detective Agency is completed, you will have four options to choose from; Collect Bonus, Find the Missing!, Leader board, and About.

‘About’ will provide you with general information on the Detective Agency. Leader board keeps tracks of the person who ‘rescues’ the most missing people each month for a reward at the end of the month.

The ‘Find the Missing!’ option will take you to the main missing people screen (featured below). Here you will see players names with various amounts of ‘$’ signs under their name. These varying $ signs represent how many reward points you will receive for rescuing the designated person(s).

The point scale is based on a 5 point system, with 1 point being the minimum and 5 points being the most. You will then send a request to the missing players and wait for their response, ‘Open Cases’ screen. If they are successfully rescued, they will be under ‘Claim Rewards’ and you can collect your prize and points there!
