Why It's Hot:

Madden might score bigger headlines, but EA's college football powerhouse has enjoyed equally solid review scores for years. This year's version gets even deeper into the college game, featuring a more realistic 'locomotion' animation system, full ESPN integration, team-specific entrances and even a new story generator for online dynasties.

Why It's Not:

While it's got a month-long headstart on Madden, it's still not Madden. Living in that big of a shadow (no offense, John) isn’t easy. Unless you prefer the college game over the NFL, chances are you're saving your money.

Did You Know?

Florida legend and surprise early draft pick Tim Tebow will grace the game's cover. Unlike Madden, there's no curse associated with that honor...yet.
