Why It's Hot:
Sony's motion-sensing control system is being billed as a more accurate Wii, and from our experience, that pretty much nails it. Several games, including tactical shooter SOCOM 4, golf sim Tiger Woods 11 and quirky virtual pet EyePet, really showed off the Move's potential at the recent E3 convention.
Why It's Not:
It might be too late to catch Nintendo in the waggle department, and Sony isn't helping to distinguish itself by bundling its own version of Wii Sports (dubbed 'Sports Champions') with the unit. The modular sales structure (you can get the camera, wand and navigator separately or bundled at various price points) is bound to generate confusion. And like the Wii, multiplayer games will often require multiple controllers. Confusing and costly?
Did You Know?
While the colorful wand is new, the camera is not: the Playstation Eye has been widely available since 2007.
